That it be DETERMINED that the Council appoint The Casey Group Limited as the contractor to construct the new canopy and install associated public realm for Ashton Market Square following a tender process via STaR Procurement.

28/04/2024 - HAWTHORNS NEW SEND SCHOOL - VARIATIONS 07, 11, & OPENREACH ref: 2288    Recommendations Approved

Approval of Variation Order VO-05

Decision:

That it be determined that:

  1. Approval is also sought for variations VO-07 and VO-11.  Both variations are to be paid in full by the school.  As the contract on the scheme is with the Council, the funding will be initially paid for by the Council and the Council will be reimbursed by the school for the full amount.  VO-07 is £6,796 for Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) plus contingency.  VO-11 is for Sprinkler Head caps at a cost of £16,549.  Both costs include a 5% contingency for a LEP fee and an increase for insurance costs. Also, recommended for approval is the cost of the Openreach Broad Band connection at £3,072.
  2. Any spend against the remaining budget will be monitored through the Strategic Planning and Capital Monitoring Panel (SP&CMP).
  3. Approval be given to enter into a Legal agreement with the school to reimburse the Council for a total cost of £26,417.

24/04/2024 - Ashton Interchange – Amendments to Land Transfers ref: 2291    Executive Decision

To seek approval to changes in the areas of land to be included in the land transfers between TMBC and TfGM in connection with the Ashton Interchange project.

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.       The previously agreed areas of land to be included within the transfer of land between the Council and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are amended as detailed in the attached report following the receipt of revised land requirements from TfGM.

2.       That no change is made to the payments to be made by either party in connection with the transfers, to those set out in the approved report to Executive Cabinet dated 28 June 2023.
