Purpose:

To seek approval to the surrender of the lease granted to The Guinness Partnership for Enville House and simultaneous grant of a new lease for the property to Ashton Pioneer Homes.

Decision:

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.     The Council accept the surrender of the leasehold interest in Enville House from The Guinness Partnership.

2.     Simultaneous to the surrender, the Council grants a new 125-year lease of Enville House to Ashton Pioneer Homes.

Reasons for the decision:

The decision re-affirms that made by Executive Cabinet on 25 November 2020.  The decision will bring a vacant building back into use, providing affordable rental accommodation and temporary living accommodation for homeless people or other vulnerable parties as supports the Council’s housing requirements.
