Exclusion of the Press and Public That under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) the public be excluded for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972. Information relating to the financial or business affairs of the parties (including the Council) has been provided to the Council in commercial confidence and its release into the public domain could result in adverse implications for the parties involved. Disclosure would be likely to prejudice the Council’s position in negotiations and this outweighs the public interest in disclosure. |
