To receive any declarations of interest from Members of the Scrutiny Panel.

To approve as a correct record and sign the Minutes of the meetings held on 14 January 2025 and 4 February 2025 (Budget).

The Panel to meet Councillor Stephen Homer, Executive Member (Towns, Transport and Connectivity), and Emma Varnam, Assistant Director of Operations & Neighbourhoods, to receive a presentation and report providing an interim update on the work including evidence gathered to date, update on the public consultation and next steps. A final report will be brought forward in April 2025 with a plan to implement from June 2025 subject to approval through appropriate governance processes.

The Panel to meet Councillor Andrew McLaren, Deputy Leader (Growth, Housing and Homelessness), and Nicola Elsworth, Strategic Growth Programme Director, to receive a presentation providing an update on the delivery of the Town Centre Levelling Up and Capital Regeneration Projects schemes at Ashton, Stalybridge and Denton. 

To receive a report of the Chair of the Place and External Relations Scrutiny Panel that sets out planned agenda items for the Scrutiny Panel’s future meetings and Forward Plan items that fall within the remit of the Scrutiny Panel.

To receive any updates from the Chair on the activity and future priorities for the Panel.

To note that the next meeting of the Place and External Relations Scrutiny Panel will take place on Tuesday, 10 June 2025.

To consider any additional items the Chair is of the opinion shall be dealt with as a matter of urgency in accordance with Section 100B(4)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972.
