Council meetings involve all members of the
Council and will take place five times over the course of a
municipal year.
Council meetings are chaired by the Chair of Council Business.
The functions of the Full Council include
making decisions on the strategic direction of the Council through
approving or adopting the Policy Framework, and for adopting and
amending the Constitution.
The Executive Leader, memberships of Scrutiny
and other Committees, as well as the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are
appointed at Full Council.
At each Council meeting, members of the public
are permitted to ask a question to a specific Councillor.
Questions must be submitted in writing 3 clear
working days in advance of the meeting (e.g. if Council meets on a
Tuesday, any questions will have to be submitted by the Wednesday
before).
