Council meetings involve all members of the Council and will take place five times over the course of a municipal year.
Council meetings are chaired by the Chair of Council Business.
The functions of the Full Council include making decisions on the strategic direction of the Council through approving or adopting the Policy Framework, and for adopting and amending the Constitution.
The Executive Leader, memberships of Scrutiny and other Committees, as well as the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are appointed at Full Council.
At each Council meeting, members of the public are permitted to ask a question to a specific Councillor.
Questions must be submitted in writing 3 clear working days in advance of the meeting (e.g. if Council meets on a Tuesday, any questions will have to be submitted by the Wednesday before).
