COUNCIL TAX LONG TERM EMPTY DWELLINGS
New legislation
contained in Section 11B of LGFA 1992 amended by Rating (Property
in Common Occupation) and Council Tax (Empty Dwellings) Act 2018
now provides that local authorities may increase the charge for
empty dwellings dependant on the period of time that the property
has been empty.
