COMMUNITY SAFETY AND HOMELESSNESS CONTRACTS EXTENSION AND SERVICE MODIFICATION

The report describes the proposal to enter into contracts with Providers currently delivering the services for the continued delivery of a number of services across the Operations and Neighbourhoods portfolio. The contracts would continue to deliver commissioned homelessness services that support the needs of the homeless, those on the verge of homelessness and the vulnerable in the Borough.
The report explains the changes to the delivery of these services in line with statutory requirements and restrictions in place due to COVID-19 and the reasons for awarding these contracts at this time which includes maintenance of critical services and to ensure a full service review can be carried out to enable robust re-procurement of the Service’s Requirements.
The report seeks authority to award contracts to the current service providers for these health and social care contracts for the period October 2020 to 30 September 2021 while service review and re-procurement takes place
